Colin Kinghorn
Colin is a seasoned senior manager with 20 years management experience, of which the last decade has been spent in a consulting role with clients from the US, Europe, Asia and Australasia. Originally from Scotland, Colin has been in South East Asia since 2006 and worked in Laos and Thailand. He leads a strong team of Thai professionals in Bangkok that assist clients with their business strategy and intelligence needs.
Colin has worked with a wide variety of clients across most of the major industry sectors, from government regulators, NGOs, Financial Services clients, energy and mining, retail, housing and health. Colin has advised some of the largest listed companies in the UK as well as Thai, Japanese and US companies operating in South East Asia. He has worked with clients such as Siemens, ING, Kansai Electric Power Company, Honda, Royal London Life Assurance Marubeni, Carlsberg Brewery, Campbell Brothers, ANZ, the World Bank and The Global Fund.
Colin has spoken at conferences, training courses and events in Europe and Asia on subjects such as business strategy and planning, corporate governance, financial planning and reporting, risk management, internal audit, fraud and more. He is a former Chairman of the Institute of Internal Auditors in Scotland where he launched a major governance conference that continues to attract speakers from industry, academia, company boards and government ministers. He has also been on the Board of Directors of a UK housing organization with focus on barrier free housing and care.
Colin graduated from Napier, Edinburgh. In addition to his higher education, he holds management certifications and membership of the Institute of Internal Auditors - UK and Ireland.
