Job description

Successful candidates with a creative and analytical orientation will be responsible for:

• Conducting business research and market analysis
• Writing research reports and client presentations
• Developing consulting solutions to clients across many industries
• Managing research assistants

Successful candidates will also experience being part of large international consulting project teams, from the data collection to the recommendation and client presentation. There will be travel opportunities within the region. The career path for high performers involves managing large international projects and teams, as well as building and development of international client relationship.

Requirements

• Degree holder, preferably in business, management, economics, or related fields
• Minimum 1 year experience in business consulting, commercial research, market intelligence, marketing, strategic planning, corporate advisory or management consulting, preferably with overseas exposure or MNC experience
• Ability and willingness to conduct executive interviews with people of different seniority
• Interested in investigative research and analysis, and eager to learn
• Fluent spoken and written knowledge of business English
• Ability to speak fluently in Cantonese and Mandarin
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Excellent report writing skills with strong client-driven mindset
• Able to work under tight deadlines and manage stress well
• Ability to work effectively, both individually and as a team

HONG KONG: Research Analyst - 3-month contract (Business Consulting, Hong Kong)

Job description

Successful candidates with a creative and analytical orientation will be responsible for:

• Conducting market, industry and company research and analysis
• Conducting both primary and secondary research, including scheduling interviews
• Preparing research reports and supporting documentation
• Assisting team members with ad-hoc tasks

Successful candidates will experience being part of project-based consulting teams, working on projects -- from data collection to the analysis and recommendations. Outstanding analysts will be offered contract extension or consideration for employment after 3 months.

Requirements

A successful candidate will have:

• A bachelor degree, preferably in business, management, or economics
• 1 to 2 years working experience in business consulting, commercial research, market intelligence, marketing, strategic planning, corporate advisory or management consulting, preferably with overseas exposure or MNC experience
• Fluent spoken and written knowledge of business English
• Ability to speak fluently in Cantonese, and preferably Mandarin
• Skills and experience in conducting desk research and formal interviews
• Pleasant telephone manners and comfortable with people interaction
• Strong analytical (both quantitative and qualitative) and organizational skills
• Excellent report writing skills with strong client-driven mindset
• Ability to deliver quality, and work well under pressure and tight timelines
• Interested in investigative research and analysis
• Eager to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
• Good general knowledge with willingness to travel
