MICE industry manpower planning
In order to establish Country X as a global MICE hub, the client needed to get visibility on the nature of the MICE industry from an HR viewpoint, to understand the current manpower profile, key issues and gaps areas, and to seek recommendations on relevant interventions in order to support its long-term objectives.
Synovate conducted an extensive industry profiling exercise across the 5 segments of the country's MICE industry. Detailed manpower profiles of the companies were produced, enabling the client to better understand the current state in terms of total industry employment, functional categories and skill levels. Synovate produced industry manpower projections and highlighted key skill gaps. Synovate also engaged with industry players to explore the pertinent manpower issues facing the industry and, with the help of client workshops, came up with a set of actionable recommendations to address those issues.
The client now has better visibility on the manpower aspect of the MICE industry, and is planning further studies to explore specific areas such as industry promotion, education, and skills development.
