Client Service Director (Qualitative) — Copenhagen

Job description
We are looking for a person who is responsible for business development and superior client satisfaction. The person should also be responsible for all aspects of large, complex research studies from set-up through to completion (with assistance of junior and senior research staff) and responsible for build-up of a strong and market-leading qualitative team.
Responsibilities
Actively build new and strengthen existing client relationships
- Communicate clearly with clients and build a proactive relationship with them
- Excel in meeting clients needs / expectations
- Help senior research staff to build new relationships by supporting sales efforts including contributing to pitches
- Contribute to other marketing activity and understand business objectives
- Attend and facilitate detailed/complicated briefs and offer relevant methodological alternatives
- Design research solutions and write proposals including costing
Build industry and research expertise
- Become knowledgeable about the market research industry and with your specific area of expertise
- Keep up-to-date with relevant Synovate solutions and understand market positioning
Deliver superior research projects to the market
- Responsible for projects and responsible for help/guidance of others if required
- Responsible for overall briefing and liaising with 3rd party suppliers (fieldwork, translation, media agencies etc), and support departments (field, DP)
- Act as primary client contact during project execution for large sized clients
- Able to delegate workload effectively to junior members of staff ensuring a clear understanding
- Responsible for checking and enriching the work of more junior staff with a high level of accuracy
- Be able to conduct thoughtful and insightful analysis and develop meaningful hypothesis from data
- Responsible for all aspects of debrief
- Present debrief and guide others in presenting when applicable
- Write reports and make recommendations based on findings and previous experience
Understanding of spending and profit margins and demonstrable results in cost saving practices
- Educated to graduate or similar level
- Strong research experience required in a market research agency or related area in a qualitative capacity
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge and experience of principle qualitative research techniques
- Excellent project management skills
- Good communication in both verbal and written work
- Excellent Client facing ability and a team player
- Good presentation & management skills
- Good levels of skill in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook are required
- Fluency in one or more languages would be beneficial but not obligatory
