• Synovate Aztec is Australasia's leading provider of scan data services with a reputation for excellence in data insights, software, and customer service. Our customers are FMCG suppliers and retailers who look to us for marketing insights gleaned from both POS scan data and Consumer Panel data.
• With a desire to push the traditional boundaries of market research, the successful candidate will deliver insights and analysis to key clients, primarily through the use of CRM consumer panel and transaction data services, and assist them to gain maximum value.
• Responsibilities include building strong partnerships with clients and retailers; handling briefs on product launch, promotional activity, market analysis, consumer segments and behaviour; proposal preparation; building customized reports and providing value-added data; analysis and interpretation; presentations; running training sessions to clients; resolving raw data service issues; inter-departmental coordination; and business development.

Requirements

• Minimum five years' work experience in a FMCG environment, with extensive experience in using retailer loyalty card and / or consumer panel data in an agency or client side role. The successful candidate will have used this data to assist retailers and suppliers understand their customers, and target and assess promotional activities or direct marketing campaigns.
• Good understanding of the current grocery retail market, either in Hong Kong or abroad. Strong analytical mindset coupled with the ability to deliver commercial outcomes will ensure success.
• Good commercial and customer relationship management knowledge, with a track record in business development and account servicing
• Computer literate and competent in MS Office, database tools
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills with proficiency in written and spoken English
• A curious nature with strong analytical and problem solving abilities
• Good time management and organizational skills

Research Analyst - (3 months contract / Business Consulting)

Job description

Successful candidates with a creative and analytical orientation will be responsible for:

• Conducting market, industry and company research and analysis
• Conducting both primary and secondary research, including scheduling interviews
• Preparing research reports and supporting documentation
• Assisting team members with ad-hoc tasks

Successful candidates will experience being part of project-based consulting teams, working on projects -- from data collection to the analysis and recommendations. Outstanding analysts will be offered contract extension or consideration for employment after 3 months.

Requirements

A successful candidate will have:

• A bachelor degree, preferably in business, management, or economics
• 1 to 2 years working experience in business consulting, commercial research, market intelligence, marketing, strategic planning, corporate advisory or management consulting, preferably with overseas exposure or MNC experience
• Fluent spoken and written knowledge of business English
• Ability to speak fluently in Cantonese, and preferably Mandarin
• Skills and experience in conducting desk research and formal interviews
• Pleasant telephone manners and comfortable with people interaction
• Strong analytical (both quantitative and qualitative) and organizational skills
• Excellent report writing skills with strong client-driven mindset
• Ability to deliver quality, and work well under pressure and tight timelines
• Interested in investigative research and analysis
• Eager to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
• Good general knowledge with willingness to travel
