Accountant / Senior Accountant — Kuala Lumpur

Division/department: Finance

Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (official working hours)

Job description

The successful incumbent will be responsible for overall accounting function and to ensure proper accounting records are kept for internal and statutory audits. Other day-to-day accounting and financial operations include monthly closing and various financial reporting within the stipulated deadlines, preparation of the quarterly financial forecast and annual budgets, ensuring an adequate system of internal control is maintained, and ad-hoc reporting / project as assigned. It is expected of the successful incumbent to provide periodic analysis to division heads and communicate with them regularly on divisional performance updates.

Requirements

  • Degree holders in Accountancy or equivalent and is a member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA)
  • A minimum of 4 years experience in finance / accounting, out of which 3 years must be audit experience with a large or medium size audit firm
  • Proactive, good communication, analytical and problem solving skills and able to work in a fast-paced working environment under tight datelines
  • Able to delegate and manage team members effectively
  • Good computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel

Financial Analyst — Kuala Lumpur

Job description

The successful incumbent will be responsible to assist the Financial Controller (South Asia) in the overall preparation of management reports and financial analysis. Responsibilities include preparation of month-end consolidation and reporting pack, quarterly forecast, annual budget, half-yearly statutory pack, assisting in annual audit, performing inter-company reconciliation, preparation of regular management reports (e.g. sales by client, cash report, flash report), adhoc financial analysis, and in designing and modifying reporting schedules for collection of financial information from local offices within the South Asia region.

Requirements

  • Degree holders in Accountancy or equivalent and is a member of a recognized accounting association (e.g. ACCA, ASCPA, MIA)
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in audit / accounting with a large or medium size audit firm
  • Proactive, good analytical and problem solving skills, and able to work in a fast-paced environment under tight datelines

Research Analyst - (Contract) — Kuala Lumpur

The successful incumbent will be required to analyze information collected from online media space, which include compilation of relevant articles for analysis from designated outlets based on pre-existing methodology. Other roles include providing language analysis, i.e, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin or Tamil using a coding software, translation and other duties, as and when required.

Requirements

  • Diploma / Degree
  • Able to read, write and translate from English to either Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, or Tamil, and vice versa
