Associate Director (Quantitative) — Taipei

Division/department: Taiwan Research

Job description

Division Management:

  • Responsible for playing a key role within the division / group with a broader scope in staff management, marketing activities, process improvement and as methodology champion
  • Manage a research team (recruitment, induction, motivation, training and performance review), ensuring all respective activities are carried out timely and effectively
  • Provide all-round project skills in design, supervision and delivery of client projects to ensure meaningful and value-added findings are generated from projects
  • Direct all procedures in the department to ensure consistent, accurate and efficient applications
  • Identify staff strengths and weaknesses and assist in implementing training programs to help full utilization of staff potentials

Sales Development:

  • Initiate and deliver sales presentations in a highly convincing manner to achieve impact
  • Design report and write conclusions with strategic and actionable recommendations
  • Act as consultant to ensure the strategic impact of the recommended actions are highlighted to clients
  • Design and deliver client presentations in a highly confident and professional manner
  • Represent division in group-sponsored activities (including seminars) / committees to ensure information is channeled back to the division
  • Maintain close relationships with clients to enhance possibility of winning repeated business
  • Actively explore business opportunities with new, lapsed and existing clients
  • Recommend, design and implement relevant programs to ensure the team members be developed for future challenges

Requirements

  • University degree
  • Minimum 9+ years research experience
  • Substantial and proven knowledge of research methodologies and Synovate solutions / techniques
  • Conversant with industry and marketing issues
  • Ideally, knowledgeable in a particular industry

  • Assist in managing the research team (recruitment, induction, motivation, training and performance review) to ensure the respective activities are carried out timely and effectively
  • Develop high quality discussion guide and moderation for different qualitative methodologies
  • Design insightful reports and write conclusions with actionable recommendations independently for simple or standard projects, or with guidance team leader or director for complex studies
  • Design and deliver client presentations in a highly confident & professional manner
  • Maintain close relationships with clients to enhance trust level and to explore further business opportunities

Requirements

  • Minimum 6-8 years research experience
