Brent Stewart — Executive Sponsor, Synovate Customer Experience

Brent Stewart is the CEO Global Business Planning and CEO Australia and New Zealand for Synovate. He is also Executive Sponsor of the Company's Customer Experience Practice and the specialist Shopper and Retail unit. Brent's specialist expertise is in the areas of strategic planning, business management and marketing. In his professional capacity, Brent has consulted to a wide cross section of major corporations, private companies and government, including many of the world's leading brands.

Prior to his roles with Synovate, Brent was the founder and CEO of Market Equity which was acquired by Synovate in 2005. From a start up in 1992, Market Equity grew to become the largest privately owned marketing and research company in Australia prior to its acquisition by Synovate.

Brent has also occupied numerous non-executive Board positions during his professional career, including Chairman roles for numerous private firms and government committees and working groups. Brent is the former Chairman of the Australian Market and Social Research Society in Western Australia and has served on the National Board of Directors, and is an active Member and leader in many professional organisations.

Brent has a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Psychology from the University of Western Australia, where he has also completed all core units of a Masters of Business Administration.

Brent prefers to hang out on the ocean. He claims that he is happiest when surfing, diving, fishing, boating – anything involving water, even snow! He is curious about why humans do what they do, and how DNA defines who we are—leading many to suspect that Brent may have a few porpoise genes hidden away.
