Everyone is talking about trends these days. The world continues to change at a very fast pace, especially in certain countries around the world, and it's important for companies to begin identifying those changes before (or as soon as) they start in order to succeed in the marketplace.
As a global market research company, Synovate always has an eye towards the latest trends and consumer insights, which is why we have recently launched the first wave of our Global Trends Program: a quantitative global research approach to help you to understand people across the world today so that you can implement the best business strategies for the future.
This program is not intended to tell managers what to do with their brands. Instead, it provides them with a clear and organised picture of how consumers across the world are grouped around common expectations and beliefs, based on their own cultural values, information that is highly valuable when creating products for and marketing to them.
Future waves of Synovate's Global Trends Program will look into the evolution of those segments and the adoption of new consumption habits.
This global study is being conducted in 28 countries with over 22,000 people and covers the following areas: cultural values; economic perceptions; media consumption indicators; digital behaviour (Internet, mobiles, social networks, etc.); attitudes towards the environment, diet products, organics, and recycling; behaviours for 20 types of products and over 15 beverages; attitudes towards buying "important" products (such as a house, cars...); financial topics (credit cards, insurance, bank products, etc.), travel (international travelers, hotels, purposes, etc.). The data of course also includes age, gender, geography and other demographics.
Countries covered include: Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, India, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Serbia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, UAE, UK and USA.

Synovate's Global Trends Program will tell you what makes consumers different across the globe and what they share, how consumers group around values, how those groups look in different markets, which communications strategies brands should use to approach those groups, and which brands are consumed by each consumer type.
