February 2011 - Scam Alert
We recently identified a recruiting scam that uses Synovate's name and targets various individuals. The scam comes via email and tells the individual that Synovate is looking for Customer Service Evaluators as Independent Contractors. This scam asks the individual to reply to the coordinator with their Name, Address, City, Zip Code and Telephone.
If you receive anything suspicious that may be part of this scam, please DO NOT follow the instructions included in the email. Please know that we never conduct recruitment via email. All of Synovate's active job postings are on http://www.synovate.com/careers or reputable employment sites such as Monster, CareerBuilder, LinkedIn, etc.

January 2011 - Scam Alert
We recently identified a Mystery Shopping scam that uses Synovate's name and targets various individuals. The scam comes via ground mail, and envelopes are postmarked as originating from Canada. It includes a counterfeit bank check (usually from Fifth Third Bank) and a form with information about becoming a Synovate Mystery Shopper. This scam asks the individual to cash the check and then perform a "bank wire" Mystery Shop to "test the process" of wiring money overseas.
If you receive anything suspicious that may be part of this scam, please DO NOT follow the instructions included in the mailing. Please know that we never conduct mystery shops involving check cashing or money transfers. We also will never ask Mystery Shoppers to send us money.
Synovate is actively working with American government agencies, the US Federal Trade Commission and the US Federal Bureau of Investigation to investigate and identify the source of the fraud. Please contact your local authorities if you have reason to believe you've been the victim of this fraud.
