Aegis Research rebrands as Synovate

LONDON — AEGIS Research, a division of the Aegis Group plc, has chosen Synovate as the new brand name for its 43-country research network, announced CEO Adrian Chedore. Over the next six months the individual companies making up the network will retain their original names while endorsing the new brand.
In the Americas, Aegis Research companies include Market Facts Inc., Market Facts of Canada, BAIGlobal, Strategy Research Corporation, Tandem Research Associates, Marketing Strategy & Planning, Motoresearch, MarkTrend, Copernicus, and IMR Research Inc. The full transition to Synovate is expected to be complete by January 1st, 2003.
Aegis/Synovate Rebranding
Aegis Research, now Synovate, is the ninth largest research firm in the U.S. as reported in the 2001 Global Honomichl Report published by the American Marketing Association's Marketing News Magazine. In 2001 it had revenues of 185 million, equating to 35 per cent of Aegis Group plc revenues.
"Having the single, global name Synovate communicates the fact that we are now one company, sharing a common corporate identity and unified vision," Chedore said. "It will help us further leverage the power of our marketing research solutions on a global basis." Over the past year the company, which employs nearly 3,000 staff, has been standardising methodologies, sharing best practices and streamlining its business structure to more effectively serve clients around the globe.
Synovate Name and Logo
The firm's new logo consists of the word "synovate" in blue and a design of interlocking rings in gold and yellow. UK-based branding consultancy Designhouse was appointed to come up with the logo and other elements of the Synovate corporate identity.

The design of the interlocking rings represents the interaction and dynamism of the name in a sharp, distinctive and graphic way.
