Bowles to head up Synovate Western Europe

LONDON — GLOBAL market research company Synovate has announced that Tim Bowles will be joining in April as CEO for Western Europe. Until 2003, Bowles was group president international operations for Information Resources Inc (IRI). Before joining IRI in 1995 he served as CEO for the MRB Group and, before that, managing director of AGB in the UK. Most recently he has been working on a consulting assignment with the NPD Group in Port Washington, New York state. Bowles will be heading up what is effectively a new, fourth region in Synovate's global network.
Michael Spedding has been named CEO of Synovate Healthcare, a position he will take up also in April. Based in the UK, Spedding was formerly COO and CFO of NOP World before joining Synovate in November last year as corporate development director. Prior to joining NOP, he held various senior international management and financial positions at United Business Media, Virgin Group, Exco International and The Pack Group in New Zealand. With the acquisition of Isis Research last September, Synovate Healthcare has become one of the leading research providers in this sector. Integration is well underway and Isis expects to make the full transition to Synovate Healthcare in October 2004.
Nicos Rossides is taking up a global role as head of Synovate Solutions. He will also retain responsibility for Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEEMEA). Prior to this, he was CEO of Europe, Middle East and Africa, directing Synovate's expansion in the region for the past two years. Under his leadership, EMEA has tripled in size as a result of strategic acquisition activity and organic growth that is well ahead of the market.
