Ilacqua named Head of Global Tandem Oncology Monitor

LONDON — SYNOVATE Healthcare, a specialist division of global research company Synovate, has announced Jacquelyn S. Ilacqua's appointment as Head of the Synovate Healthcare Global Tandem Oncology Monitor. She will continue to be based in the US.
Ilacqua began her career in the financial industry and moved into healthcare marketing research not long after. She joined Synovate Healthcare in 1990 and has worked in a variety of roles, starting with medical interviewer to senior vice president leading Synovate's custom pharmaceutical research division. Most recently she led the Tandem Cancer Monitor and associated custom research unit business within Synovate Healthcare in the US.
Ilacqua has been instrumental in Synovate Healthcare's successful adaptation of established methodologies from Synovate's consumer divisions to achieve new research possibilities in the pharmaceutical arena. In addition, she has created some of the more popular proprietary methodologies for the specialist division, including OptiVision, a clinical pathways study, and PharmaVision, a model to determine barriers to expanded usage.
Synovate Healthcare's Global Oncology Monitor is the first truly global audit of its kind. "We wish to build on our unique global position and expertise yet continue to ensure local relevance," said Synovate Healthcare CEO Michael Spedding. "Jackie was the natural choice in heading it up as her insight and experience in this area with the support of our US, European and Japan Oncology experts will ensure that we achieve both objectives."
