Synovate Healthcare licenses longitudinal oncology data from IMPAC Medical Systems
29 March 2005
MAHWAH, NEW JERSEY — SYNOVATE Healthcare, a leading healthcare market research company and provider of oncology insights, has reached agreement to license longitudinal oncology data from IMPAC Medical Systems, a leading provider of electronic medical record software for oncology communities. Under the agreement, IMPAC will provide Synovate Healthcare with de-identified patient data from electronic medical records completed by clinicians and its National Oncology DatabaseTM.
Jackie Ilacqua, Senior Vice President and Executive Director of Synovate Healthcare's Global Tandem Oncology Monitor commented:"We are very excited about the additional insights and added value that this agreement will enable us to provide our clients. It brings together the strengths of Tandem, the largest and most representative oncology physician sample available in the US, with the significant patient record numbers and longitudinal analysis available through IMPAC data."
The agreement will allow Synovate Healthcare to build on its gold standard Tandem Oncology Monitor in the US, by expanding its services to include supplements such as epidemiology models, longitudinal analysis (including treatment algorithms) and many other analyses related to treatment of cancer patients. Joe Jachinowski, President and CEO at IMPAC added: "Our partnership with Synovate Healthcare, the Global leader in oncology market analysis, is an important strategic alliance for IMPAC. It will result in significant benefits for the oncology community in terms of deeper market insights and understanding, leading to longer term benefits for cancer treatment in the US."
This move further develops Synovate Healthcare's objective to work on behalf of its oncology clients to provide them with access to information that meets all their oncology data and marketing analysis needs through a single, class leading, supplier.
