Synovate forms global youth research division; Pierpoint appointed as head

VANCOUVER — Synovate's youth research units across the world have now been organised into a new specialist division - Synovate YC - to be headed up by senior vice president Ian Pierpoint.
Pierpoint has over 15 years experience in research, planning and marketing, most of which specialising in youth culture. He worked both client and agency sides before setting up Vegas in 2000. Vegas is the largest and highest profile youth research agency in the UK, and was part of the former TRBI which was acquired by Synovate in 2004. That year Pierpoint moved to Canada to head up the Americas youth research division.
Pierpoint works throughout the world for clients including Absolut, Unilever and MTV. He has presented at numerous conferences and has appeared on CNN, NBC as well as being a familiar face on Canada's Vicki Gabereau Show and MTV Canada.
