Wells appointed Chief Information Officer for Synovate; Cooney named CIO Enterprise Solutions

LONDON/CHICAGO — FORMER head of automated data collection division Synovate ViewsCast, Bruce Wells, has taken up the new position of Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Synovate.
As CIO, Wells is tasked to provide IT leadership, vision and direction across Synovate's rapidly growing network in order to achieve strategic technology and business objectives. He will identify core technological and business strengths, and capitalise on corporate knowledge to ensure that these technologies are fully aligned and integrated to benefit the company's overall operational performance.
Wells moves to Chicago from London, where Synovate ViewsCast was headquartered. A native of New York, Wells has also lived and worked in Japan, the Philippines and Malaysia. He has 15 years of telecommunications and technical marketing experience, and has worked with various telecom operators in Asia Pacific as an engineer and technical marketing manager for Motorola.
Paul Cooney will continue to be based in London after being named CIO Enterprise Solutions. His main area of responsibility is to implement Synovate's Wisdom project – a global project database, financial and management reporting system – using the recently selected PeopleSoft enteprise solution.
Cooney, who hails from New Zealand, has over 12 years' experience successfully managing large global projects of this nature and has worked with large corporations across a multitude of industries throughout Europe, Asia and the US. During this period he founded and successfully ran his own consulting business.
