CHICAGO, IL — Today, global market research firm Synovate announced the addition of four senior-level research executives to its quickly expanding multicultural business: Everett Hernandez as Senior Vice President & General Manager; Steve Moylan as Vice President; Denise Marks as Vice President, Research Studies; and Anna Marie Lopez as In-person Project Field Services Director.
All four have joined Synovate directly from competing market research firm TNS Market Development. This is believed to be one of the largest moves of senior-level diversity research professionals from a competing firm at one time.
"As the demographics of the U.S. continue to change, it has become increasingly important for companies to better understand multicultural markets," said Robert Philpott, CEO for Synovate's Americas region. "With our growing team, all of whom have an extremely impressive multicultural research background, Synovate is uniquely positioned to provide valuable business direction to companies that are trying to reach multicultural consumers."
Everett Hernandez previously served as Executive Vice President in TNS' multicultural group for 12 years and has more than two decades of specialized experience in market research with diverse populations. In his role at Synovate, Hernandez oversees a group of multicultural researchers located in Synovate's Diversity offices in Miami, New York, San Diego and Chicago.
"By 2050, half the U.S. population is going to be multicultural," said Hernandez. "Targeting them has gone from cool to hip to vogue to necessary. I am excited about the opportunity to lead a group of experienced multicultural consultants who use smart market research to better understand our clients' business needs."
Steve Moylan, formerly Vice President at TNS, brings extensive domestic and international experience in multicultural market research, customer loyalty and human capital consulting to his new role in Synovate's Diversity group. Both bicultural and bilingual in English and Spanish, and having lived for many years in Latin America, Steve has conducted numerous projects with a strong focus on Latin America and US Hispanic markets.
Denise Marks was formerly the Director of Quantitative Project Operations at TNS, where she worked for 17 years managing and directing quantitative studies in the US multicultural markets and Latin America for Fortune 500 clients. She will lead all market research activities for Synovate Diversity’s quantitative group, and provide high-level strategic consulting.
Anna Marie Lopez has over ten years of experience in market research overseeing consumer, financial and legal research studies in Latin America and US Hispanic markets. Also bicultural and bilingual, she was born in Mexico and spent several years in the field interviewing and directing focus group research.
Synovate Diversity is currently preparing to launch a series of seminars across the U.S. where it will unveil its latest "U.S. Diversity Markets Report" (more commonly known as "The Blue Book"), an extensive guide of major ethnic markets in the U.S. More information can be found here.
