Synovate PAX shows media reach into Middle East elites

DUBAI — Global market research company Synovate has released data from the Synovate PAX survey for early 2006 showing the consumption of media by affluent consumers across eight key markets in the Middle East.
Synovate Media Director Steve Garton said this syndicated survey links media usage with the purchasing habits, business decision making, lifestyles and psychographics of the wealthiest adults in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Egypt, Lebanon and Jordan.
"Synovate PAX offers critical marketing intelligence for analysing the media preferences of upscale target audiences, and allows advertisers to see the important role played by regional and international media."
Garton says the psychographic results show that users of international and regional media have higher scores on attributes relating to leadership.
"These people are not only leaders in society, but also leading consumers, showing a drive to keep up with modern technology and a willingness to try new brands. These early product adopters are vital to the success of new products and services. Half of Synovate PAX respondents agree that they have great trust in what they have seen advertised, whilst 73 percent believe advertisements are a good way to learn about products and services."
