Synovate Appoints new UK Financial Services Sector Head

LONDON — Global market research company Synovate has announced the appointment of Tony Smith as Head of its Financial Services industry sector in the UK.
Smith joins Synovate from TNS where he spent 15 years in various roles, the most recent being Head of Financial & Professional Services UK and then Global Account Director for HSBC / Head of the Conversion Model for the UK. Having spent some 20 years in Financial Services research, Smith's career thus far has also seen him in roles at GfK NOP and Lloyds Bank.
Responsible for client and team development, Smith's focus will be on strengthening and shaping the Financial Services research team to maximise the opportunities for growth in this key sector.
