Synovate Healthcare opens for business in Canada

TORONTO — Synovate Healthcare, the healthcare arm of international market research agency Synovate, has extended its global network to Canada.
Synovate Healthcare's newly opened Toronto office will offer ad hoc and syndicated research services to the Canadian healthcare and pharmaceutical markets. The establishment of a dedicated team in Canada will support Synovate Healthcare in developing its Canadian business and consolidating its position as a key player on the international healthcare research scene.
Leading the new operation is Otto Akkerman who has joined the company as Head of Synovate Healthcare Canada. Akkerman will draw on his extensive knowledge of the Canadian healthcare market and specialist expertise in pharmaceutical sales optimisation and product positioning. Prior to joining Synovate Healthcare, Akkerman successfully built healthcare practices for two leading Canadian research suppliers. A key figure in the Canadian market research community, Akkerman has published a variety of articles focusing on healthcare business intelligence and market strategy.
