Synovate appoints new Key Account Director in Southeast Asia

SINGAPORE — Leading global research firm Synovate announced the appointment of Pamela Welch as Key Account Director in Southeast Asia.
Welch will officially be based in Singapore on the 19th of January 2009 and will be responsible for building and strengthening relationships with some of Synovate's key clients in the region.
Welch previously served as Shopper Research Head for London based consultancy 5one Retail Marketing where she was responsible for creating a marketing research proposition and developing shopper research capabilities. She also brings a wealth of FMCG experience on both the client and agency side.
Synovate Executive Director Maz Amirahmadi welcomed Welch's appointment to Synovate as it reflects the company's ongoing expansion strategy and the strengthening of its market position across the region.
Amirahmadi said: "Pamela's appointment sharpens our focus and reflects our on-going commitment to serving our clients more effectively. I have no doubt that she is the right person to the raise the bar when it comes to standards and quality in our business mix."
Welch said that she was delighted to be joining Synovate, having long admired the company's brand, its philosophy and culture.

With over 25 years of market research experience, Welch has held increasingly senior regional and global roles having been based in the United Kingdom, Eastern Europe, Asia and Africa. She holds a degree in Social Science from the University of Natal in South Africa and is a member of the European Society for Opinion and Marketing Research (ESOMAR).
