Synovate Malaysia appoints new Qualitative Research Director

KUALA LUMPUR — Leading global research firm Synovate today announced the appointment of Dr Christina Lee as Research Director for its Qualitative division.
Dr Lee will be based in Malaysia starting on the 5th of January 2009, and will be responsible for leading the Qualitative team while building and strengthening relationships with some of Synovate Malaysia's key clients.
Dr Lee previously served as Qualitative Research Director for Synovate in Indonesia where she was responsible for developing and growing the already well-established Qualitative team there while working directly with key clients. Prior to joining Synovate, Dr Lee was a research consultant to Nielsen Indonesia.
Synovate Malaysia's Managing Director Steve Murphy welcomed Dr Lee's appointment to Synovate as it reflects the company's ongoing expansion strategy and the strengthening of its market position across the region.

A Malaysian by birth, Dr Lee has over 16 years of market research experience, and has held increasingly senior corporate and academic roles. She began her education in Malaysia before moving to New Zealand to continue her academic career, and has since worked in the United Sates and Hong Kong. She holds a PhD in Marketing from the University of Auckland and is an honorary research fellow in the Department of Property there.
